MJSF’s  Storefront, Lucy’s Gift, Officially Opens

William Westhoven, Daily Record, part of USA Today Network, November 14, 2015:

“Marisa Spagnoletti is on a mission to end violence, one fashionable accessory at a time.  Instead of a ceremonial ribbon, Mayor Timothy Dougherty used a bolt-cutter Saturday to cut a link chain, signifying the fight to end violence and officially opening Lucy’s Gift Boutique, Spagnoletti’s new shop on South Street featuring designer handbags, jewelry and accessories. ”

Flemington Subaru announced the results of its 2014 “Share the Love” campaign to support SAFE in Hunterdon. Tim Morley, general manager of Flemington Subaru, presented a check for $8,869 to Marisa Spagnoletti, Manager of Development for SAFE in Hunterdon, to continue to support its mission to empower adult and child survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, while collaborating with the community to prevent violence and create positive social change.

Also on hand to share in the celebration were Bob Reilly, SDC Executive VP of Sales and Marketing and James Foley, SDC District Sales Manager. The money was raised during Subaru of America’s seventh annual “Share the Love” event. Customers who bought or leased a new Subaru during the campaign had the opportunity to designate a $250 donation from Subaru to five charities.

Four national charities were selected by Subaru of America, and individual Subaru retailers were allowed to add a “hometown charity” of their choosing. “SAFE in Hunterdon,” explained Mr. Morley, “offers an invaluable service to the Hunterdon County community.” Since it’s founding in 1978, SAFE in Hunterdon has been helping those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through multiple services including access to a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention teams, safe houses, transitional housing, legal advocacy, in addition to individual and group counseling. Subaru of America officials expect to donate $15 million to charities in 2014 as part of the “Share the Love” campaign, which has provided $50 million in donations over the past six years combined. A member of the Flemington Car and Truck Country family of dealerships, Flemington Subaru’s strong commitment to customer satisfaction has earned them the Stellar Performer Dealer Award.
